Dual Boot Win2000

At bootup my boot menu let me choose between a: Win2000 (default)
b: Win2000
There is only one OS installed. My problem is that the a: Win2000 (default) crashes every time, so I constantly have to monitor the start-up. The “boot.ini” shows :
[Boot Loader]
Timeout=10
Default=C:\
[Operating Systems]

How can I change this behavior.
