How do you reenable dual booting. I have a
2000 server and 2000 pro running on my pc.
My 2000 server boot corrupted. So i right click
to My computer properties, advance tab and
selected to boot to the server sequence only
by mistake. I unchecked it the box then hit
apply. Now my pc only boots my corrupted
2000 server. I receave a stop message with
the 2000 boot. Any ideas HELP! This is what i
get for not paying attention in class.Does this
    make sense.

Edit your boot.ini file to re-enable the other boot.

For details on the commands, check out the boot.ini page at http://www.systeminternals.com

Or, search Microsoft’s site on the terms boot.ini and bootcfg

      Hi,

TheChas is right… but “how” is your problem.
If you’ve got NTFS, then you’re not going to be able to boot using a floppy to be able to edit the boot.ini file…

You may need to install yet another version of Win2K to boot with. Edit theboot.ini and then remove that version of Win2K by removing it from the boot.ini and deleting the files from the installation.

Personally, I’d be using the Win2K server disk to do a “recovery” before I tried that, though.

Boot with the Win2K server CD and then choose the repair option. That should fix your problem although you may lose some configurations and potentially break some installed software on Win2K server. Hopefully not, though.

      Cheers,
      Tim.

Boot with the W2K Sever disk and use the recovery console. Type in: “Fixmbr”
This should repair your boot record.
