On this page: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=bph03886&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=3546122 HP states that in order for dual channel memory to work all the RAM fitted must be absolutely identical – right down to the fact that boards must be either all single-sided or double-sided.
First I suppose that this is true? I have in my HP, four 1GB boards; three are double-sided and one is single sided; all are PC5300 667MHz.
Would appreciate your comments and would like to know if there is a utility whereby I can check the status – i.e. if the computer is running in dual or single channel mode.
