Hi everyone, I’ve got a Geforce 7600 Series graphics card with vga, dvi and component output. I recently got a Samsung 42″ HDTV Plasma display and I’m trying to get my graphics card to display games on the HDTV. I bought a dvi-hdmi cable assuming the digital signal would produce the best quality but it’s not much of a difference compared to vga. The HDTV has composite, component, s-video, vga and hdmi. Using the vga, the HDTV is automatically the primary display so games work but text isn’t readable so I have my monitor on the vga connection (primary) and the HDTV on the dvi/hdmi (secondary). I don’t know if there’s a way to leave my HDTV as primary and have my icon’s, taskbar, etc on the secondary. Dvd’s and other video formats look good but I haven’t been able to be able to get games to display on the HDTV. Based on what I’ve read Directx would only render on the primary display. What are my options here? It’s currently configured in Dualview with each display in it’s own resolution, I had tried clone display which works for games but my monitor looks bad at the HDTV’s resolution and reading text is a pain on either displays in this configuration. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Sherlon.
