Question

Locked

dual displays, different resolutions

By ssine ·
I have a Dell Precision 390 Windows XP Pro system here with an NVIDIA Quatro FX3450 graphics card. I have been given the task of cloning the desktop on 2 different displays at 2 different resolutions.

I have been able to clone the desktop to the 2 different displays, but it seems that what ever the resolution on the main display is, that is what the resolution will be on the second display.

Is what I have been tasked to do possible with this card or any other card?

It should be possible

Just go into the display settings. (Right click desktop > Properties > Settings) Then click on the square labeled "2", then change the resolution, and click apply. It should work just fine.

extended desktop

I think when I did that before, it extended the desktop, but didn't clone it. I could be mistaken, but I will try it out and let you know.

Have you ever heard of a program call UltraMon?

I came across it during my search, though I have not tried it as of yet. They claim it will clone at different resolutions.
