    Dual Hard drive install – X1Win98 & X1NT

Once I have physically installed and connected a 2nd hard drive running NT, while the master HD runs Win 98, how do I configure the system so that I can boot into either HD at startup or switch from one operating system to the other during operation?

I would suggest you get Partitian Magic to handle the Boot task , as Windows will attempt to utilize drivers from both setups for the hardware at the same time, and can cause errors and stoppages, not all the time but it can be an issue. You are farther ahead by not using 2000 just yet , as it still has bugs when down sharing. I would not simply switch , rather reboot into the other one as the drivers for the hardware are different , not all but some are. Wait for the others to answer too , as they are more familiar with the setup you are attempting to set up , but this will get you started in the right direction. read the documentation for Partitian Magic to setup the boot sequence , as it will have you hide the other drive (Older version) I am not to sure about the New version , as it even allows you make drives on the fly from Windows, I only recommend Partitian Magic because I am familiar with it, there are several good ones. wait for the other answers because someone will give you “exactly” what you want. System Commander Deluxe is an excellent program for managing a multi-boot system. It is flexible and very easy to use.
