Dual NIC

By jmcnally ·
Have a problem : a windows xp machine (PC1) with 1 NIC connected to a second pc2 (MRI computer) that sends MRI images to the PC1 to burn CDs. The NIC is wired and configured with no Gateway. I addede a Wireless PCI card and configured it to access the Gateway to the internet. both are using static IP address ing - Wired is in the 129.198.0.0 network -no gateway and the wireless is in the 192.168.1.0 network with the internet gateway as its default gateway. The machine had access to the internet but today it is not allowing the cd burning application to work!! Any suggestions?????

i gather that you are trying to burn over your crossover cable. is it your cdr software that isnt seeing the other system or just doesnt work at all? also try and enable netbios over tcpip this may help if they are not seeing each other.

Yes, the cd burning software does not see the PC and cannot transfer the image files to be burned. I get a message in the MRI console stating that the file cannot be transfered.
