dual working with entertainment features

I like to listen to music in the lounge whilst my children surf in the dining room – I can set my pc to the lounge sound system great, but can’t give my children sound when they are surfing – if the pc is to become the entertainment centre of tomorrow surely a more effective way of splitting sound and vision needs to be thought of for home users (it probably has already!) Whatd’ya think world?
