Dump of Phyiscal Memory

By edgeymaster ·
I have a problem with one of my work stations. The work station works fine when working on network. But when a user clicks on IE(6), the blue screen of death comes up. the physical memory dumps and gets this error code.
Stop: 0x00000051, (0x00000004, 0x0000001, 0xE663B288, 0x00F14788)I have tried several things but to no avail. I tired looking up this code but could not find anything on it. Its a winxp puter with all cuurent updates. The only thing I can figure is to format the drive and reinstall. I would like that to be the last option. So if anybody can help me out, thanks in advance.

Format ?

by Wizard-09 In reply to Dump of Phyiscal Memory

There are lots of things to do before a format, please try the following.

1.Uninstall driver updates that may have happen.

2.Try to run the system restore to another date see how that goes.

3.Try to repair the computer with the Winblows (windows) CD.

4.Check eventviewer for any clues on the problem.

Scan

by edgeymaster In reply to Format ?

There were no driver updates. I did run teh sytem restore but still does the same thing. I ran the sft /scannow but no errors came up so I will try the cd repair. I checked event viewer but could not locate the problem. I will try the repair with the cd to see if that works. Thanks

i tried the cd but it would not let me do a repair as it says the os is newer than the one on the cd. So it looks like i am going to do a format.

Try this out to cure your issue...

Looks like some Temp file issue.

Download this:
Ccleaner:
http://www.ccleaner.com/
Run this a couple of times, you might need to run it in safe mode, but if all is ok when in normal mode the you will not need to do this.

Please post back if you have any more problems or questions.
