Help! We just deployed a new machine to a user (nt4, sp6a)from a ghosted image. This is the 4th deployment from the image and this particular machine has duplicate icons on the desktop of all shortcuts except the standard ones (i.e. network neighborhood, my computer, etc.). None of the other machines are like this and it is not a profile issue or a video issue. No matter how the shortcut is created, two appear. If you delete one, that one disappears and the other one goes away when you refresh the screen. If you try to access the other shortcut after one has been deleted, it is not a valid shortcut, but until you delete one of the shortcuts, both are valid. It’s like a ghost of the shortcut or something. Any ideas as to what is causing this? It happens in VGA mode as well.
