I took my laptop of the network and change the name, installed sql server. when i bring it back i get the error “Duplicate name already exist on the network” and there is no other pc with same name on the network, i check server manager and dhcp lease adresses, the name is not there. my server is windows 2000 and my laptop uses Windows XP. any help?
