duplicate name on tcp network

I have a new windows 200 server. The dhcp, wins, and active derectory is currently installed. i added one more lan card. in the event viewer the error message that i always encounter is a duplicate name in the tcp network. pls help to solve this problem.

Sounds like your WINS server is resolving the name from each card to the same computer name. If you disable NetBios on one of the cards this may solve the problem. If this works can you drop me a line. Good luck. (srasmusen@btopenworld.com)

I've got the same problems with my Win2k Server. I don't have WINS setup but I've disabled the Netbios on one card and it always disables it for both cards for some reason. I have found out though that this problem will sometimes hinder web access for the server. I've got one NIC with static IP and another with Dynamic. I have to restart my server maybe once every 6 months but when I do I have to do a release/renew on IP and everything works fine after that. Not sure what else to try but this procudure doesn't bother me at the moment.
