Duron 1 GHZ

By MoodyStrings ·
Hello Tech Mates
I just found a deal on a Duron 1Ghz processor and was wondering has anyone have one and if so what type of motherboard is it sitting on. Another question is is it running problem free ? The reason I am asking is because I have seen a deal for one for 74 euro. I think thats about $79.00 Is this a good price ;-)

€74 is fairly good, but then prices are dropping quite fast. It is better than the Celeron 1GHz. You need a 'Socket A' motherboard, and a good quality ballbearing fan up to about 1.2 GHz, some PC-133 or PC-100 SDRAM memory (ask the board supplier which). Ground yourself before you take it out of the packet. Careful how you handle the board. Dont touch it underneath.

Good luck!
