I have encountered a problem opening drive contents (DVD)- thru Explorer or My Computer. Get
a message " \ IS NOT ACCESSIBLE , Incorrect function". I can open a movie thru the Windows Media Player Menu but AutoPlay itself will not work. Have checked the settings and AutoPlay is checked.Any help. Thank you.

I had a same experience before, not only problem of reading DVD-ROM but also Zip and A: drives.

The cause was Norton antivirus program (NAV). To verify this, boot the computer to Safe Mode and try to read the DVD-ROM. If there is no problem, you know the NAV is the cause.

Boot the computer normally, disable the NAV from startup, reboot the computer, enable the NAV from startup, and reboot.

If this does not work, uninstall and reinstall the NAV.
