I have an Acer Aspire 3680 with Windows Vista. For the longest time the drive was working, and then suddenly stopped. I drived updating the drivers, it tells me I have the most up to date, when I check properties of the drive this is what I get: “Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)”.
I also purchased an external DVD drive. However it won’t read that either. They both show up in the device manager, however neither will show up under my computer, even though they apparently are both functioning properly.
Can anyone help?
