I have a problem with my laptop. I wanted to change my hard drive, but when I remove the current one and put in the new one the DVD drive is no longer seen in bios so I cannot boot from CD and install the new HDD. When I go back to my current one, all works well. The laptop has no other problem, it works fine as it is, just that I want to change to a bigger 80 GB hard drive. I have 40 GB currently. i tried to remove the DVD drive before inserting the HDD and then putting back the DVD drive after. Still no show, the DVD drive is not seen in bios. What is the cause of this? What can I do to fix it so I can use the new HDD and still have my DVD drive? Any answers will be appreciated.

NB The current HDD has no jumpers at all.
