Hi all, hope someone can help,
I just fitted a brand new laptop DVD-RW drive to a Windows XP laptop. However, this drive is not recognised in the BIOS and XP can’t install it. Device manager says a driver is not installed and the drive is unrecognised. Using Windows update does not help nor does allowing the Add Hardware Wizard to connect to windows update help. I’ve re-fitted this drive and re-booted numerous times with no difference being made.
Please could someone advise what I should do?
Specs: Lite-On DS-8A1P 021C DVD-RW laptop drive
OS: XP SP2
