DVD Drive not wokring anymore

I used my new laptop on a road trip to watch a DVD on the ride. Since then I have tried to match a movie and put in a CD to upload. Not only does my computer not recognize either of the discs but when I go to My Computer, the drive doesn’t appear. What’s wrong?!
