Thanks for any suggestions. I used a Sony DVDirect to transfer old 8mm tapes from my Sony Video TRV-460 to a DVD. I have used both DVD-R and DVD+R. After I transferred I put in the computer to edit using software. No program I have will open the DVD on my Gateway new laptop. I bought Pinnacle software and have also tried Windows Media Player and Picture Package. Then I gave up on trying to edit and just wanted to play on my DVD player. I have a sony and an emerson dvd player both fairly new. They will not read at all on either player. Lost at what to do please help thank you!!!
