DVD Region

By mconour ·
I have a Dell Inspiron 640m with a SONY DVD+-RW DW-Q58A drive. When I try to play DVD's I get a message about having the wrong region. When I try changing the region it get a message saying it's the wrong region and I only have 5 changes left. If a driver update is the issue, I haven't been able to find a driver update on Dell's support site.

DVD Region Master

by mconour In reply to All of the drives (DVD) h ...

Thank you for contacting me. I downloaded the DVD Region Master trial version and installed. I changed the region to 1 for the U.S., U.S. Territories and Canda. Inserted 2 different DVDs and get the same message about not being able to play in my region. My DVD player is in a Dell Inspiron 640m running XP Pro SP3. I'll keep trying a bit longer before I just resort playing the DVD in the TV DVD player. If you think of anything else, I'm open to other suggestions. Thanks again.
