DVD ROM and DVD Write Drives suddenly stopped reading and writing at high s

Both my DVD-ROM(Drive”F”) and my DVD Lightscribe Writer(Drive”E”)stopped reading/writing at high speed last week,apparently at the same time.I can’t do high speed copying between drives or even high speed burning from the hard drive on the DVD writer(HP-840).The PC is an HP m7360n Media Center.
