I am unable to access my DVD and CD. In the Hardware manager it identifies them but flags them as having a problem. When I trouble shoot it give me error code 19 “Your registry might be corrupted” I have uninstalled both and reinstalled them. When directed to do so I rebooted. Neither drive shows up… If I uninstall and reboot, the computer says it is installing the two “Plug and Play” devices and asks me to reboot again. When I reboot they do not show up.
I have tried to disable Norton AntiVirus – no change. I haved edited the registry to remove the upperlimit and lowerlimit CD/DVD key – no change. All the cables seem intact.
Where do I go from here?
