Customer is experiencing a partial freeze when attempting to run DVD movies using ATI Xpert 98 8 MB video and ATI V. 3.1 DVD player software.
Computer is AMD K6-3 450/128 MB RAM using Creative 5X Encore DVD hardware and exceeds all requirements for playing.
I have formatted disk with clean install of Win 98 SE and computer experiences partial freeze, movie freezes but mouse cursor movement still there although it doesn’t do anything other than move.
This occurs randomly from near thebeginning of the movie through the first half hour.
There are no error messages and Ctrl+Alt+Del is not available.
I don’t do a lot with DVD and am not stumped. Have now waited several days for response from ATI with nothing back so far.Any suggestions?
