DVD Zone Problem

Locked

I have a Dell Inspiron 1721 running Vista Home Premium that has locked in European DVD mode. I run MP11 and Dell Media-Direct. I need to revert to US/Canada mode, or multi-zone. Any help greatly appreciated.

Then you are rather stuck, in terms of your legal standpoint, anyway.

Not being one to publicly advocate breaking the law, I’d only perhaps let slip, by accident, that you’ll find your answer on the internet. You might find a solution by checking out “firmware upgrades / options” for your model of DVD drive.

Not being an IT wiz, and not knowing about sites like this, tried computer stores, friends, family, etc. No luck. Found this site by accident, one question, two answers, one firmware download & problem fixed. Thanks to all.
