DW error (dw.exe)

“DW error” on boot
in details explained as dw.exe

I run into DW error on boot with win98 and win98SE on two different computers that came in for repair. Even though it does not seem it is a major problem. I did a lot of research but could not figure it out. Has anyone run into this error message before and any solution to it without formating and reinstalling win98?
