Dynamic DNS resolve to also to router

Have set up dynamic DNS to view recorder remotely – can access from WAN the recorder with its LAN IP allocated by router using DHCP – and it works! Without losing this capability how do I ALSO make router available remotely (currently WAN IP routes through to recorder – previously the router showed)?
