Dynamic Text on web page

I'm developing a website for a government agency that will require some information on a web page being replaced from time to time. I have a basic template that is built around tables. In the center of the page I have a table that is one col and 1 row. Is there a way to insert text from another file into the table? Can a call to the html file be made so the contents of the external html is displayed into the table? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

virtual includes

Well if you're using an Apache Web server and the content you want to include is in the same docroot, then you can use the virtual include mechanism to slap the contents of a file into the table. We do it all the time here at Builder--the left-side navigation bar is an include that is shared by most of our pages. That way you only have to change the one include and it propogates automagically to all the pages that execute the virtual include.
