e-Business Solutions

By Madsmaddad ·
I am teaching a course this spring at final year level at University called e-Business Solutions. I taught it last year, but ran out of steam towards the end. Can the readers suggest another topic or two that I should cover? My take on the topic is that all Business is e-business. The students have to choose an e-Business that they would be involved in, fictional or otherwise, and evaluate each of the topics and it's possible use in the business. The topics that I have are:

1] Mobile/LAN/WAN Convergence

2] Cloud Computing/ Client-Server/ Virtualisation

3] Advanced Database Technologies

5] Security

6] Management of communications Infrastructure & Systems

7, 8, 9] This is where I need your help

10] And I wrap up with a hypothetical discussion of what will be in five years.

Thank you all for your thoughts.

3 hour sessions

by Madsmaddad In reply to Message has been deleted.

Each week is a three hour session, so I can cover plenty. And I can't get really technical with this lot.

As I came from the bar-coding/Hand-Held/ Wireless environment (Telxon) before Academia, I could expand the convergence lectures into covering the use of hand-helds, and using your ref, what they can do now.

I also thought that I could break off the Virtualization topic as a separate lecture.

Other thoughts?
