E Machine - Desktop Computer "One of the fastest computers on the market"

By Oz_Media ·
Okay, now that I got you laughing, this is an actual ad placed on craigslist today.

E Machine - Desktop Computer - Used only for a day - other wise brand new condition. Celeron 1.2 Ghz, 128mb RAM, onboard Video, Audio and Modem. One of the fastest computers on the market. Installed with Windows 98 for optimal performance. $450

Celeron 1.2? 128MB RAM? Win98? LOL.

I just picked up a used box for mom, P4 2.0 Gig, WinXP, 256MB NVidia grafx, 768MB RAM etc. $70.00 with original disk, plus original HD (2nd drive) with restore partition.

Yeah I know its no power box but for $70 it is great. She's only just learning Email and browsing and stuff anyway.

But that $450.00 Win98 box, FASTEST on the market sounds pretty interesting.

Oh, yes, I did send the guy a few questions, wondering if he had the original Win98 CD and if it was the super fast Second Edition or not.

The bad thing is, someone, somewhere, will believe the twit.

Did you report his post as the fraud it is?

He had a whole list of stuff, much of it seemingly legit. CRaigslist has a quick flag button to flag posts that aren't legit but that's abotu teh extent of my detective work on this one, I don't really think anyone will see a Win98 box for $450.00 as worthy.

That's what I started with back then: for zero. It was given to me -- 98SE on a 100 Mhz box with a one gig drive. I thought I died and went to heaven.

Sorta like you must have felt with all the good things said about you.

Who's been BS'ing you about me? Nobody has anythign good to say about me, not 'virtual people' anyway.

I care what SOME people think, I even care what a few TR peers think and I make sure I don't offend them and I treat them with the same respect I do my friends.

Seriously though, I have had several people login here as me, not so much these days as I got pretty lambasted for a few of their comments.
It started when I was playing a game with a few people here, I was actually able to post 24/7 for a couple of days, WHILE working and flying back and forth through Canada and the US, miracle man!!!!

I had passed on my login details to a couple of friends and tol dthem to not let up and just have fun hammering away and insulting 'certain people' while I was away.

I guess one guy and his kid had enough fun that they started posting under my alias on a regular basis, which I thought was amusing as the personality changed so much between threads and comments. One day I was getting along with someone, the next I was an a$$hole again, LOL.

It's just the internet, and while I actually do respect many of the peers here and consider some of you friends (as far as internet acquaintances can be deemed 'friends') it is always JUST the interntet to me, not reality or real life.

Too many people are fakes or flakes here, too many people are just out for positive recogition from SOMEONE, so they will simply say what they think people want to hear in order to gain some friends. You know who the die hards here that actually warrant your interest and deserve respect.

People that actually know me and that have gained my trust and respect, think I'm one of the kindest and most sincere guys going; that's all that matters to me.

While people here may know me from my comments, nobody actually/really knows me here, well not many of you anyway.
