E-mail delay using Network Solutions

I work for a small company and we use Network Solutions to host our e-mail. In December (roughly) we started having issues with extreme (up to 12 hours) delays receiving e-mails with attachments. I have escalated it through their engineering (“sorry, can’t reproduce the issue”), and I am about ready to pull my hair out. Friday I tried to call again, but their Customer Service was in a meeting all day. Today their site has a “under construction” type message up. All of which has me very concerned.

– The issue only seems to happen when sending from a NS account to an NS account.
– It happens only intermittently, but is getting steadily worse
– The files being sent are the same sizes as files we have sent with no problems in the past. They are pdf and tiff files as a general rule.

Is any one else experiencing this? Does anyone have suggestions for alternatives for e-mail and/or domain hosting. Everything else I have researched looks like it will be a sizable jump in price.
