For several weeks now, most members of my family have been receiving e-mails from friends and strangers that either have some textual reference to Klez or has nothing more than a tiny icon in the upper left corner. I suspect these mails contain somekind of virus or worm, so I have been deleting them. I am using Norton Anti-Virus 2000, religiously keep the definitions up to date, and scan everything every night using Windows 98 scheduler. What concerns me is that I may be the source of this worm, that it may somehow be hidden from Norton. I do not use IE, but prefer Netscape 6 as my browser of choice. I normally only activate Java, Javascript, and cookies when I access my TechRepublic or other accounts that require them. Any thoughts?
