Easy to Do

How can I recover a deleted folder in NT 4.0? The folder was deleted accross the Network Neighborhood so it not exist in the Trash Can.

NT by itself does not allow undeleted like this. However, there are some awsome third party programs which will take care of your problem. I personally prefer products from Symantec...but each to their own. So I will let you do your own research. Good Luck.

You can recover a file only on the server on which the file was located. If, from my workstation, I deleted a file on \\fileserver\folder1, I would have to go to the server, fileserver, to recover the file from the machine's recycle bin.

You would have to use a third party undelete utility pending upon the size of your lost document (trial versions have set limits on how much they will recover e.g up to 20 kb etc.) You would have to run this utility at the same location where the document was deleted. Good Luck.

Executive Software has an Undelete that may do the trick for you: $50 license for workstation, $250 on a server - ouch!
