I have a P4 that came from the manufacturer with ECC RDRAM. Shortly after I got the system I added another 512 RAM, also ECC. More recently I got a hold of another 512 RDRAM to replace the original 256 the system cam with, however, this time it is not ECC.
Now while I am aware that ECC RAM is better for mission critical tasks, what real benefits does using ECC RAM provide versus regular/non-ECC RAM?
