I am finding angel investor group or an incubator group but most of the websites give information regarding VCs with their list do not give the list of the angel investor group or an incubator group.

I want to get the list of angel investor group or an incubator group.

How can I find them and are there any websites for this?
How much stock do angel investor group or an incubator group typically get?

Shailesh,

I came across two sites by searching altavista with the keywords +venture +funding +angel

There were many more, but these two look promising as a place to advertise your business looking for VC or Angel funds.

www.vfinance.com
www.equityloop.com

As to your stock question, that totally depends on several factors:

1) The maturity of your business. Do you have a business plan or just an idea. Do you have a product and no market or do you just need bridging capital to movefrom your initial market to a larger market, etc....

2) Your negotiating skills. It is your job to make your contribution to the cause sound as valuable as possible. It is their job to make their contribution sounds as big as possible. You will strike a deal somewhere in the middle.

Rough estimate is that if you only have a business plan, no management team -- you will give up approx 80%. The more you get done before you go to VC the more you could potentially keep. Although they mayinsist on installing a handpicked management team over you, so don't try to completely fill out your org chart prior to contacting some VC.

Also, as of 5-6 years ago, it was taboo to talk to more than one VC or angel at a time. A couple of yearsago, VC couldn't throw money fast enough, so it was okay to "interview" the VC's. The market changes to quickly, that it is hard to tell, but I would guess that if you have a good idea you should shop it around and look for the best deal for you. Some VC's talk to each other, some even collaborate to share the risk, so whatever you do, don't discuss one VC deal with any other VC, that is very bad form.

Good luck

Geo
