Dear Sir,

I have a new idea for Internet Business therefore I contacted VCs, AIs, and IT companies. They are ready to invest in my project. I have no prior experience with the VC industry, but I'm in the planning stages to start a very promisingventure.

How much stock do VCs typically get?

Regards
Shailesh Gajera

Depending on how good a bargainer you are right from 25-75 to 75-25... Its good idea to check out the VCs portfolio and make your own discreet enquiries before you come to a conclusion...

Not really sure that there is an answer for your question. It is dependent on how much you are after, how much you are putting in, what is the level of risk, who are the competitors etc.
It's not helpfull to think in percentage terms because you can get dispirited by the perceived chunk involved.
Look at it this way:
* Without the capital you would have nothing
* You will incur costs
* You will have to spend time / money of developing the solution / business
* Will the amount left after the costs and VCs share make it worthwhile to cover this effort

If the answer is yes, then go for it YOU will profit from it

If the answer is no, then no matter what the share they take there is no profit in it for you
