Edit group policy very slow

By David__ ·
I have noticed that the last couple Windows 2003 servers I have installed, when ever I edit or modify group policies, it is very slow to respond. Just to navigate through the tree structure it takes literally a couple minutes.
Group Policy Management Console 1.0.2
These are Xeon 3.0 GHz and 1 Gig RAM, not slow boxes.

Any ideas??

Are you editing the Group Policies on your local workstation or on the server?

If modifying them on the server, is the DC the PDC Emulator?

I am at the keyboard of the server. It is a single server domain, so it is the PDC emulator, DNS, DHCP, etc.....
