Editing MPG files

By lumberjack ·
Just a nice quickie -

can you recommend an easy to use and free! application that I can use to cut down a 740MG mpg file into a 700Mg and 40Mg file

The output must stay as MPG as then it will work on my DVD player!

Any advice in using the application will also be most welcome

Should be able to find something by searching ZDNET or CNET (just add the .com's)search for mpg splitter or even just file splitter.

found a nice wee app - dead easy to use though only 6 uses permitted - but it will be enough.

PS My 3 kids say thanks too - they can now watch Chitty Chitty Bang bang on my old laptop!

you can download "easy video splitter".
website: http://www.doeasier.org/
however, it is shareware.

then you can change the file to dvd using a software from below:
