Editing the NT register

I tried to edit the register using windows NT and it says" REGISTRY EDITING HAS BEEN DISABLE BY YOU ADMINISTRATOR" I have admin right so how do I enable it back?

Just go in and de-select that restriction from your System Policy, if you're using them.

I did not use the system policy, I did not set up this work station

You say that you have admin rihts, do you have admin right on the local machine also?
Also, go to start run and type in 'regedt32' and under security make sure you have the rights to edit the registry.

I am able to get in, How do I give access to the register to a X user and only to that user

In the regedt32, go in to the oprions menu, and make sure the readonly mode isn?t set.
I think that that is the problem.
