I recently installed 128mb of EDO ram. However, only 64mb shows up. I only had 32mb prior to installing, and I did not remove the two 16mb cards. This means I should have 160mb showing. Where is the other 104mb? And how do I get it to show up in my system. The computer is an IBM PC 350, Windows98 is the OS, and I have a 2 gig HD

This is probably your mainboard which either doesn't support more memory, or you it doesn't support those RAM which have memory chips on both sides of the printed Circuit. You can try a bios upgrade as mentioned above, but that probably won't help.

Were the two 16MB chips EDO? if not remove them and give it a try. You might want to remove them anyway since older computer don't always handle mixed RAM chips.
Good Luck,

On some older computers RAM chips had to be installed in pairs. I don't know if that is the case with yours. Also not all manufacturers RAM chips are the same. Make absolutely sure you have the right chip for your computer.

32 MB per SIMM is a common limit on older PCs.
Your overall RAM limit may be 128MB with 4 32 MB SIMMs installed.

I have an older motherboard with DIMM sockets that only supports 64 MB per DIMM.

Unless IBM has a BIOS update that supports more RAM, you have hit the wall.

Try putting the 2-32M in the first 2 slots, have seen where max size will only show the first 2 pair of simms X 2 unless slot 3 & 4 are smaller.

EDO can be very particular about which simm it wants in the first slot, had a matched set from the OEM where one would work and the other would not (bad simm - gave very strange intermittent boot problems)
