i encrypted a whole important directory with EFS on my win 2000 adv server, everything was OK untill I started to get a problem with logging on .
I started to get various error messages when trying to access active directory services like users andcomputers and sites and services with a message that the network path could not be found this went on for a while (uresolved) untill a number of accounts became locked out.
because i coud’nt access users and computers I could not unlock them so i ran a back of my server repairing active directory in restore mode.
after restoring everthing was fine except that I can no longer access any of the files that were encypted either as the original encypter or as the domain administrator.
I need helpplease?
