OH MY GOD! Ok, the OS “was” on c: drive, and the data is on d: drive. The data is encrypted using EFS. Then it happens, the OS becomes corrupted, non functioning and C: drive is blown away, using delpart. Like an idiot, I forgot to backup the recovery certificate. It has not been saved to disk or floppy. Can the data be restored? I have reinstalled Win2K Pro on the c: drive. I have tried taking ownership of the data, and have made sure that the administrators certificate is stored in the Trusted Certificates store. Please help. I think I have screwed up the data for good. Please email me at iksal@korea.com if you need more details directly!
Thank you!~~~
