I am having a really hard time with a senior co-worker of mine. There is a certain way that I have to suggest ideas, if I want them to be accepted – otherwise I get blown out of the water. I started as an entry level tech, and I have learned a lot both through school and from working with him, however, I feel that he is threatened by my increasing knowledge and does not want to give up his leading role… He is supposed to take over a different area and hand over his duties to me, however I don’t think he is comfortable with the idea…
Does anyone have an idea of how I can deal with this? I am having a really hard time with the fact that I have to fight with egos, it just does not work well with productivity and the idea of being a “team”… Anything will help…
