At work i co-administer a WAN using three mini servers and one main server. We also use two or three EICON workstations (WS) with secure modems. The EICON stations are the hardest to administer. After several set ups we have got them all working except….
One of the EICON WS will not connect to the main server. However it will connect to a mini server (it has to connect to this via the main server). Would distance be the major contributing factor in causing the connection to be excessivly slow which means it will not get to the main server site?
If so what can be done to “speed” it up or give it a power boost?
