We currently have 3 subnets. PDC on one and a BDC on each of the other subnets all NT4. Due to recent downsizing etc. we are combining two of these subnets. The thing is the subnet being eliminated has the PDC. I was thinking of disabling the DHCP and WINS services on the PDC and of course changing the IP address also. Then I would change the WINS replication partners on the two BDC’s to eliminate the PDC. The question is am I forgetting anything and should I keep the WINS service running on the PDC or not as a backup. Or should I just promote the BDC to PDC.
