Email attached document is blank when recipient opens

    by sdgonder ·

Scenerio: User opens a pdf document from an email. While the document is opened he selects the envelope icon in Adobe DC. The behavior is set to Default Email Application Microsoft Outlook (Note the attach link radio button is not set.) He then single clicks Next. This opens a new email with the document attached. He completes the new email then Sends. Recipients of the email when opening the attached pdf document find the document to be empty.

      – Adobe Reader DC or Adobe Acrobat DC?
      – Is the document empty in his own Sent Items folder also?
      – Is the size (in bytes) of the attached document in his Sent Items folder equal the size of the document in his Inbox?
      – Are you, or is the user, in a position to try this on another PC?

Luckily, there is an obvious work-around until this issue is solved. Save the pdf to some temp folder and then attach it to a new mail to send.

It is Adobe Acrobat DC. In his sent items the document has no size either. I will try to replicate issue on another computer. And yes, he is doing the work-around.
