Email Deletion Problem

By okippiko ·
My system is an Intel Pentium II 266 MMX.
I have 64 mb ram, 4.3 gb hard drive using Win. 98. I am having a problem deleting unknown email; the cursor will just hold in the hour glass display position. Therefore, I cannot delete unwanted email. Could you please give me some insight on what to do to solve this problem? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Email Deletion Problem

If you download the email from the server and then disconnect, some spam will freeze the email program while it (the spam) tries to send a message back to the originator, or to download files from the originator. Of course if the computer is off line it can not, so the wait is forever.
You can leave the computer on line and let it download, or do some serious digging in the manual for the email program you are running.
Regards, Chris

Thank you very much for providing hardware specs for a software problem. The psychics here at TechRepublic should have no problem offering a solution to your post.
All kidding aside, we need to know more than what you are telling us in order to help you. Such as: 1.What e-mail program are you using? 2.Is your computer part of a network? 3. If your computer is not networked, who is your service provider? 4.What programs are running at the same time as your e-mail client? Get it?
