Email Notifier for multiple Exchange accounts needed

by tech_lady . Updated 18 years, 2 months ago

Does anyone know of a way to notify a user on our network when another user gets email?

Currently we have a user/Exchange mailbox that receives emails from our fax machine (it converts the fax and forwards it as an attachment).

Our receptionists have their own email accounts which are set up in Outlook on their PCs and if Outlook is left open, they receive onscreen and audible email alerts for their accounts.

They also open the fax user account (another user) in their Outlook session, but Outlook’s notification does not work for the second account, so they have to remember to check it several times a day to forward the faxes to intended parties. At times there are employees waiting for faxes to come in and they do not know they’ve arrived.

Is there some setting in Exchange or Outlook that would give the receptionists either an email notice in their Inbox or a pop up window or sound when mail comes into the fax mailbox?

I have been looking for such a notifier and all I find are POP notifiers. Please help!
