Email timeout

i have a remote office in the other building. Our staff told me; they always can not receive email. When they are receiving email, around 3 mins it will be automatic disconnect(display “timeout” message) our email server. they are using windows XP Pro. Our emailServer is NT4 and Exchange 5.5 Version.
