Enable ICS for a dialup modem?
LockedI have two machines at home. A desktop and a laptop. The Desktop machine has a LAN card and a PCI wireless card. The laptop has a dialup modem, a LAN card and WIFI.
As my cable ISP connection is down as the moment, I am forced to use a dialup modem on my laptop to connect to the internet. Is there a way by which I can share this dialup internet connection with my desktop? May be by creating an AD-HOC wireless connection or connecting the two machine using a cross cable? I dont have any router, switch or HUB at home.
I tried using the adhoc connection (Open – WEP) after enabling the ICS for modem, but wasnt able to get my desktop access to the internet.
