Enquiry About a software

By vishfield ·
Sir, I am using a software called 'TeraCopy'. It is used for enhancing the speed of copying folders from one drive (especially from cd/dvd drive to pc hard disk) to another. The speed can be adjusted manually also. So my question is that 'Is using of this software will cause any damage to cd or dvd drives due to the extra strain?'

There isn't any involvement with the CD/DVD drive.

All CD/DVD drives have a fixed rotational speed of <> 25KM/h. Acceleration of the rotational speed only ever occurs when the drive is being used to play AUDIO files - the speed of rotation increases as the read head moves towards to centre of the disc (at any given rotational speed, the outer edge of a disc is travelling faster than the inside).
